Exhibition Proposals

The Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts has a calendar of changing exhibitions within the purpose built art gallery and display cases. Exhibitions are chosen to reflect on, and to enhance, the heritage collections within the Allport Library and Museum of Fine Arts and the Tasmanian Heritage and Archive Office. 

We have an average of one to two external exhibitions per year, with a two year lead up time. This is an opportunity to exhibit in a quality, highly valued space in central Hobart. 

Artists are warmly encouraged to submit an exhibition proposal.  Please include a professional resume and high quality images of your work. Images can be sent via Wetransfer with ‘Exhibition Proposal – [title of exhibition]’ once this form has been submitted. 

The submission closing date is the 31st of August, 2017.  Your exhibition proposal will be assessed by an exhibition committee and you will be informed of the outcome by the 29th of September 2017.

Please note: The Allport gallery cannot sell works in the exhibition, however we can pass on artist’s contact details to interested buyers.
