What better way to unwind this summer than by relaxing with a great read? At Libraries Tasmania, we have plenty of activities, staff book recommendations, and read-anywhere eResources that you can chill out with.
For the kids
Our library staff have curated a great selection of summer reads for the
kids and
teens in your life. So, encourage them to borrow, place holds and start reading!
How about getting the kids to take part in our inaugural
Summer Read Around program? They can 'Read Around Tasmania' for their chance to win a $50.00 book voucher!
And, of course, there's our annual school holiday program, with libraries offering fun activities such as: wool craft sessions (Bothwell Library), colouring-in spaces (Oatlands Library), hands-on STEM activities (Bridgewater Library), and 'make a bug hotel' or a fairy garden sessions (Smithton Library).
For more ideas on keeping the kids entertained – such as our much-loved Rock & Rhyme sessions – contact
your local library for what's on – or keep an eye out on our
Facebook page.
