Library and Information Week 2020

Library and Information Week has been a fixture in the Libraries Tasmania calendar for more than 20 years. With the impact of COVID-19, we’re celebrating it a little differently this week; statewide and online.

This year’s theme is ‘Create’. It showcases the many ways libraries and library and information professionals create through their work, and help clients to create.

Library and Information Week provides the community with the opportunity to recognise the importance of library and information services for everyone, while reflecting on the role libraries play in our local community, work and personal life.

Importantly, it also provides an opportunity to highlight that libraries are crucial for people who may otherwise be disadvantaged by their lack of access to information and services.
Libraries Tasmania sites are celebrating Library and Information Week in many creative ways.
