Kids – join in the Libraries Tasmania Summer Read Around for your chance to win a $50.00 book voucher.

Every year, Libraries Tasmania delivers a summer reading program to encourage children to continue reading over the school holidays.

This year, all 46 Libraries Tasmania sites – from Geeveston to Currie to Queenstown and everywhere in between – are excited to be offering a new reading program called the Summer Read Around.

From Monday 4 January, children can pick up a Read Around Tasmania kit at their local library. They can then have fun 'reading around Tasmania', from library to library, and joining in the other activities.

  • The Libraries Tasmania Summer Read Around program runs from Monday 4 January to Friday 5 February 2021
  • Children are invited to visit their local library to pick up their Read Around Tasmania kit
  • The Summer Read Around encourages children to read from one Tasmanian library to another in reading 'steps', to take part in a scavenger hunt and other activities, and to go in the draw to win one of 10 $50.00 book vouchers!
  • Any reading counts! You can visit your local library to borrow books or browse our eResources for children (and, if you're not a member, come in and join or join online – it's free)
  • To enter the competition, registrations need to be submitted to any Libraries Tasmania library by Friday 5 February

Let's make this summer's reading all about fun!
