Seniors Week 2020

Seniors Week 12-18 October

Lots to do at your library during Seniors Week 2020

Libraries Tasmania is celebrating Seniors Week this year across our statewide library network, with a range of workshops and events being held from Monday, 12 to Saturday, 17 October.

Ever joined a conservation tour? You can at Hobart Library. Or try a book group taster if you’re curious about book groups, but not ready to commit to regular sessions.

Interested in the history of the Bass Highway? Join an informative session at Burnie and Smithton Libraries. You can also hear about the vanishing towns of north-west Tasmania at Burnie, or Smithton and Queenstown Libraries.

Kingston Library is hosting a workshop on eBikes with local business Teros, as well as a two-part workshop on balance and flexibility. At Rosny and Sorell Libraries you can discover your family history and learn how to use technology to make life easier.

Other workshops across the library network include ‘Connecting to Others’ by using video calling, Skype, WhatsApp or FaceTime (Devonport Library); and learning how to set up and use myGov safely (Ulverstone Library).
