New to the History Room? Please bring photographic identification to register
Access and collection point for government agency records
Audio visual room for viewing archival films and listening to archival audio

Order items in advance
Make an advance request to view a reference item
If you can’t get to the Reading Room in Hobart, ask your local library if they can get the item in for you
Order archival items using Tasmanian Archives Search
Order items stored offsite for viewing the following day
Half-hourly retrievals from 9.45am, last retrieval 45 minutes before closing
