As Tasmania’s 80,000 school students head into Term 3, they can access a new online service to support their homework, essays and assignments.

Libraries Tasmania has partnered with Australian company Studiosity to provide free personalised one-to-one online homework and study help with qualified teachers, professional tutors and subject specialists in all core Australian curriculum subjects.

All Tasmanian students in Years 3 –12, including those home schooled or undertaking distance learning, can access Studiosity with a Libraries Tasmania membership.

“Alongside reading and book borrowing, supporting education and life-long learning for all Tasmanians is our top priority,” said Libraries Tasmania Executive Director, Sue McKerracher.

“With a Libraries Tasmania membership, Studiosity offers a service that provides equity of access and support to students and their families for additional one-to-one tutoring and homework help outside of school hours. Job seekers who are Libraries Tasmania members can also use Studiosity to get free help with job applications, resume writing and interview tips.”

Studiosity operates through instant online live chat or voice call with specialist trained tutors who can help with a study question any time a student is stuck or needs extra help. Students can upload a draft assignment for feedback or get help with a maths problem. Students can also access over 750 practice quizzes in all core Australian curriculum subjects.

Studiosity services are provided by over 1,000 trained subject specialists from across Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and Canada. All have the appropriate Registration to Work with Vulnerable People equivalent in their respective countries.

Studiosity is particularly beneficial for students out of school hours such as on evenings or weekends when they may not have access to their teachers or other school study supports.

Studiosity is available 24/7 and all you need is your Libraries Tasmania membership to log in and access the service. For more information view the Studiosity webpage.
