New Tasmanian Library Advisory Board appointment

Media Release
21 December 2023

Tasha Tyler-Moore has been appointed to the Tasmanian Library Advisory Board.

Currently Kingborough Council’s Manager, Development Services, Ms Tyler-Moore has over 20 years’ experience in the local government sector, both in Tasmania and Victoria.

Director of Libraries Tasmania, Sue McKerracher, said Ms Tyler-Moore’s experience would be invaluable to the Board.

“She is a committed leader who understands and appreciates the important role that libraries play in Tasmania as centres of community education and engagement”, she said.

The Tasmanian Library Advisory Board represents the general public who use library services, and provides the Minister for Education, Children and Youth with advice on matters relating to library and information services in Tasmania.

The voluntary, independent advisory group meets four times a year.

Ms Tyler-Moore was appointed following the resignation of former LGAT representative Josephine Woodward, former Deputy Mayor, Kingborough Council. Her appointment is until 31 December 2024. More information about the Board is available on the Libraries Tasmania website
